Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR)

Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) is one of the main products of Shanghai Haihai Zhonglong Technology Co., Ltd., copolymerized from butadiene and acrylonitrile. It features outstanding oil resistance, abrasion resistance and air tightness, and is widely used in oil seals, O-rings, hoses, conveyor belts and oil-resistant products.

Physical property

NBR is copolymerized from butadiene and acrylonitrile; higher acrylonitrile content gives better oil resistance. It offers excellent abrasion, aging and air-tightness resistance and good adhesion, though moderate ozone and weathering resistance, often blended with other rubbers.

Main uses

NBR is widely used in automotive oil seals, O-rings, oil-resistant gaskets, fuel hoses, conveyor belts and industrial oil-resistant rubber goods, making it a core material for sealing and oil-resistant applications.
